Our Technology
State of the Art Technology
Radiation Center of Greater Nashua utilizes many advanced technologies. Radiation therapy has three main phases: planning, navigation, and delivery.
Planning:
Radiation planning is performed using RayStation from RaySearch Laboratories. This system enhances patient treatments by adopting new technologies for stereotactic radiosurgery treatment planning, artificial intelligence technologies to help identify critical structures and, adaptive planning to quickly respond to changes to deliver better patient outcomes and contribute to the highest quality of cancer care.
Navigation:
AlignRT from VisionRT has been adopted. This technology has allowed the Center to provide marker-free and tattoo-free radiation for breast cancer patients. This navigation technology allows Surface Guided Radiation Therapy to decrease damage to healthy tissue. Nine out of the top 10 US News & World Report “Best 50 Hospitals for Cancer” use AlignRT.
Delivery:
Delivery of radiation therapy is from a device called a Linear Accelerator (LINAC). The Elekta LINACs are the devices at the Radiation Center.
